Raman spectra of ionic liquids: A simulation study of Al[F.sub.3] and its mixtures with NaF
Article Abstract:
Theoretical Raman spectra of the melts of NaF/Al[F.sub.3] mixtures were obtained from computer simulations in order to examine how the Raman spectra reflect the coordination structure around the [Al.sup.3+] ions. The Raman bands were linked to normal modes of vibration of the coordination complexes and the shapes of the spectra and their evolution with the composition in the mixtures conform remarkably well to those seen experimentally.

Effects of tert-Butyl halide molecular siting in cryalline NaX faujasite on the infrared vibrational spectra
Article Abstract:
Experimental, analytical, and modeling techniques are employed to elucidate interactions between absorbate molecules and the interior surfaces of the porous host faujasite. It is revealed that the Fourier transform (FT) infrared (IR) studies of sodium-X (NAX) faujasite in comparison with the adsorbate molecular gas-phase and host solid-state spectra at 295 K.

Morphology-controllable synthesis of pyrene nanostructures and its morphology dependence of optical properties
Article Abstract:
Morphology-controllable synthesis of various pyrene nanostructures from nanoparticles to short nanorods and nanowires was achieved by a simple self-assembly method. Aqueous sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) micelles were used as templates to direct the self-assembly of the pyrene molecules into nanorods.
